Elton A. Rokusek, age 78, formerly of Tyndall, died Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Arbor Care Center in Hartington, NE. A funeral Mass, celebrated by Fr. Joseph Forcelle, was held Saturday, June 15th, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Tyndall. A private family burial will take place at a later date.

Visitation with a scripture service was held for Darwin Dykstra, 86, of Springfield Thursday, June 13 at Peters Funeral Home in Springfield. Burial was in the Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery, rural Springfield. Darwin Dykstra was born April 11, 1938 at Running Water.

Funeral services for Arlen Thomas Kucera, 89, of Lake Andes, will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 19 at the Wagner Community Church in Wagner. Burial will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at the church.

Funeral services for Thomas H. Aungie, 59, of Wagner were held Saturday, June 8 at the YST South Gym in Wagner. Burial was at the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Dante. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of services.

Funeral services for Frank Huapapi, 74, of Wagner were held Tuesday, June 4 at the YST South Gym in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery in Greenwood. Frank Dennis Huapapi was born June 5, 1949 to Dennis and Irene Louise Huapapi on the Ihanktonwan Oyate.

Graveside service for Norma Halbur, 87, of St. Paul, Minnesota will be held Saturday, June 15 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Wagner with a light lunch to follow at the Dante Auditorium, 323 Main Street in Dante. Norma died peacefully March 12, 2024.

Funeral services for Quinian Ream, 22, of Lake Andes, were held Tuesday, May 28 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Quinian died Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Lake Andes.

Funeral mass for Kathleen “Casper” Ann Honomichl, 66, of Wagner will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Burial will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Jeanne Ann Soulek, 85, went to her heavenly home Saturday, May 25 at the Good Samaritan Center in Corsica. Funeral mas was held May 31 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Shawn Patrick Quigley, 48, formerly of Metairie, Louisiana died Saturday, May 18, 2024 after a battle with cancer in his home in Tyndall. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 22 at the Friedensberg Bible Church in Avon. Burial was in the Friedensberg Cemetery, rural Avon.
