Loraine R. Thaler, age 91 of Yankton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 26, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton. Funeral services were held Monday, July 1 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Yankton, with Rev. Jacob Bobby officiating.

Janice D. (Ishmael) Fisk departed to her eternal home June 25, 2024. Janice (Jan) was born March 30, 1939, in Wagner to Ida (Sorenson) and Edward Ishmael. Jan grew up in Wagner and attended school there.

Funeral services for Pam S. Carda, 66, of Dante were held Saturday, June 8 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Dante. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Phyllis Jane Boese of Springfield passed away June 10, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Home in Tyndall with family present. She was born to William C. and Mary Frances (Adams) Thomas of rural Springfield April 27, 1930.

Gary Wayne Loukota, 75, of Springfield left this earthly world while surrounded by his family at his home in Springfield. He joined his Heavenly Father Friday, June 21, 2024. A Celebration of Gary’s Life will be Friday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield.

Funeral Mass for Perry P. Picotte, 65, was held Friday, June 14, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Perry died Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Lake Andes Senior Living Center in Lake Andes. Funeral Mass Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty.

Shirley Ann Vogt, 83, went to her heavenly home Friday, June 21 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Dean Picotte, 65, of Lawrence, were held Tuesday, June 18, at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery in Greenwood at a later date. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to a courageous soul who graced our lives with his unwavering strength. Aden was 8 when he earned his angel wings June 9th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of enduring strength against impossible odds.
