A big second quarter lifted the Wagner C team over Menno 38-27. Wagner outscored Menno 19-8 in the second period.

The Red Raiders defeated Avon in the JV game on Friday night. Wagner jumped out to a 13-4 lead after the first period. The Red Raiders held Avon to just 3 points in the second period and led 28-7 at half time. Avon won the third period scoring 14 and holding Wagner to 9 making the score 35-21.

The Raiders hosted Corsica- Stickney on last Saturday after they defeated Bon Homme Friday night. Wagner would again jump out to an early 26-10 lead. Wagner would out score the Jaguars 33-15 in the 2nd and third period and roll to a 67-33 victory.

After the big storm the Raiders had to push the reset button once again. It was 7 days since their last game and only one practice in that time the Raiders hosted the Cavaliers from Bon Homme last Friday night in girls basketball action.

Avon hosted Wagner on Friday, December 30th a double- header. The girls started the night out and suffered a tough loss 32-68. McKenna Kocmich led on the scoreboard with 21 points, followedbyCourtneySeeswith 10 and Rilyn Thury added five points.

The Lady Raiders traveled to Avon last Saturday after their big win against #5 Sioux Falls Christian on Friday. Wagner started out the same way they would finish on Friday opening up a commanding first quarter lead 24-6.

Last Thursday the Lady Raiders hosted the Chargers from Sioux Falls Christian in girls basketball action. “This was a highly anticipated with two state qualifiers from a year ago. It was also another 10 day break in between games.
