The Red Raiders defeated Avon in the JV game on Friday night. Wagner jumped out to a 13-4 lead after the first period. The Red Raiders held Avon to just 3 points in the second period and led 28-7 at half time. Avon won the third period scoring 14 and holding Wagner to 9 making the score 35-21. Wagner did not allow a basket in the fourth period and won the game by a final score of 52-21. The Red Raiders had a very balanced scoring attack led by Joey Cournoyer who had 8 points, Jesse Zephier added 7, Hunter Lhotak, Braxton Knudsen, Parker Petry, Gabe Houseman, and Brady Cournoyer all scored 6 points each. Ty Aungie added 4, Frank Soukup 2 and Preston McFayden 1.
