The Wagner 7/8 boys’ basketball teams travelled to Parkston on Friday, February 17, for a pair of games against the Trojans. In the 7th grade game, the Raiders were without a couple of their regular starters and it showed as they struggled offensively for most of the game.

The Pirates came out ready top lay and challenge Gayville/ Volin on the home court, and sent the Raiders home with the loss, defeating them 54-38. Landon Thury connected for 25 points, Trace Pelton and Jaden Stahl each chipped in 9.

The Avon Lady Pirates protected their home court Monday, February 13th defeating the Gayville-Volin Raiders 59-44. Three Pirates scored in double digits - Courtney Sees 23, McKenna Kocmich 17 and Lila Vanderlei 12.

Three Avon wrestlers will compete at State B Wrestling Tournament in Rapid City. Individual tournament is February 23 and 24 with state duals February 25. Good Luck!

The Wagner 7/8 basketball teams hosted the Bon Homme Cavaliers for a pair of Valentine’s Day games. In the 7th grade game, the Cavaliers came out hot on offense and kept the Raiders on their heels as the Raiders were down 13-5 after the first.

TheWagner7/8boys’basketball team hosted the Mount Vernon/ Plankinton Titans for a pair of game at the Armory on Thursday, February 16. The Raiders came out aggressive on the offensive end and took control of the game early as they built an 12-5 lead after the first.
