RED RAIDER JV LOSES TO PLATTE-GEDDES

Platte Geddes jumped out to a 19-10 lead after the first period and a 43-26 lead heading into the half. Wagner battled with the Black Panthers in the second half but lost the game 65-50.

WAGNER JV FALLS TO BURKE

Wagner lost to Burke’s JV 3937 on Thursday night. Wagner led 24-13 at half time but could not hold on to their lead as Burke scored 18 points in the final period. Parker Petry scored a team high 14 points, Joey Cournoyer added 13, Jesse Zephier scored 8 and Brady Cournoyer added 2 points.

MCFAYDEN TIES A 25-YEAR-OLD SCHOOL RECORD

The Red Raiders won their eighth game on Thursday night easily defeating Burke 68-38. The Red Raiders went back and forth with Burke in the first period, then Wagner held Burke to just 1 point in the second quarter and took a 30-9 lead into half time.

RED RAIDERS TRAVEL TO VERMILLION

Wagner shot the ball well early and had a 14-10 lead after the first period. Vermillion scored 25 points in the second period and took a 35-- 24 lead into half time. Vermillion extended their lead to 52-35 after three quarters and won the game 64-42.

RED RAIDERS C TEAM WINS OVER CHAMBERLAIN

Wagner's C team improved to 6-1 on the season with a big win over Chamberlain. Wagner led 14-8 after the first period and 22-13 after the first half. Wagner held the Cubs to 8 second half points and won the game 44-21. Jesse Zephier scored 12 points to lead the team.

WAGNER JV DEFEATS CHAMBERLAIN

Wagner held the Cubs to 9 first half points and led 31-9 after the first half. Chamberlain could not cut into Wagner’s lead in the second half, the Red Raiders won the game 53-31.

WAGNER HOST MVP IN REGION SEMI FINALS

With a trip to the SoDak 16 on the line the Lady Raiders hosted the MVP Titans this past Saturday in girls basketball action. The first quarter would be like a heavy weight fight, both teams getting a feel for one another.

RAIDERS OPEN REGION 5A PLAY AT HOME

The Lady Raiders hosted the Kimball White-Lake Wildkats last Tuesday night in girls basketball action. The Lady Raiders would harass the Wildkats early and often taking a 19-0 after the first. Wagner would extend their lead to 38-9 after the second.

WAGNER PLAY IN PARSKTON TOURNAMENT

On Saturday, February 18, the Wagner 8th grade basketball team travelled to Parkston to play in the Parkston Tournament. The Raiders were matched up with Parkston for their first game. It was an exciting back-and-forth first half as both teams shot the ball well and played an up-tempo game.
