South Dakota closed the 2020 budget year on June 30 with a surplus of $ 19.1 million, Governor Kristi Noem announced.
Although total revenue finished $ 7.9 million lower than adopted estimates, the state general fund budget ended with expenditures approximately $ 27.2 million lower than budgeted.
South Dakota Housing Development Authority announced approximately $ 16.35 million is available for funding during the 2020 application cycle for the HOME Investment Partnerships, Housing Tax Credit, Housing Opportunity Fund and Housing Trust Fund programs.
