The summer reading program at the Lake Andes Public Library is coming to a close on August 10. Students have been reading and recording their books on the readSquared app, which can be accessed for free through Google. It is not too late for parents to sign up your children for the program. Certificates and badges are available through the app for your child and with each 100 points earned they will receive prizes from the library. Questions? Call the library at 487-7524 during our regular hours.
Craft kits for your child with the “Imagine Your Story” theme for Summer 2020 summer reading program are available for you as the parent or your child to pick up at the library to complete. These are free of charge. Call with questions or for a curbside pick up.
The library was recently awarded a grant to assist the drive to help our patrons and members of the Lake Andes community to complete the 2020 Census. Watch for incentives for those completing the census. You may qualify for the incentives if you complete the census on-line at the library or if you mailed in your census, or completed it at home. Contact the library if you have questions.
