President Bryan Slaba was present at Rotary on September 30th for our last meeting in the third quarter of our Rotary year. Attendance is still running around 12 members. We are hoping the Coronavirus slows down soon so all our members feel comfortable attending our meetings.

AIRPORT CONSTRUCTS 4 UNIT T-HANGAR WITH AIRPORT IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM GRANT

The Wagner Municipal Airport received a Federal Grant under the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) to construct a 4 unit T-Hangar. The funds received for the project are 90% Federal, 5% State contributions from the Aeronautics Trust Fund, and the City is responsible for the final 5% of the project.

ONE TIME PLC YIELD UPDATES DEADLINE SEPTEMBER 30

Farm owners have a one-time opportunity to update PLC yields of covered commodities on the farm, regardless of Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC)program election. The deadline to request a PLC yield update is September 30, 2020.

Jessica Hegge of Platte has officially announced she is running for a District 21 State Representative seat in the upcoming general election on November 3rd. District 21 includes Charles Mix, Gregory, and Tripp counties and a portion of Bon Homme county.

Am. Leg. Auxiliary to Greer Post #11

Greer Unit# 11, American Legion Auxiliary met at 8:00 on September 17 at the post home with eight members present. The meeting was called to order by President Juanita Stone. Chaplain Marge Stone opened with prayer, followed by all reciting the Pledge of allegiance and Auxiliary Preamble.
