LIFESERVE BLOOD DRIVE IN WAGNER JANUARY 25

As the number of daily COVID-19 cases in our region rises, so does the need for convalescent plasma (CCP) in local hospitals. This month has seen the highest CCP usage since the beginning of the pandemic.

The Bon Homme Community Choir Officers are making plans for the 2021 Easter Cantata performances. Plan to join us Sunday January 31st, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Avon. We will discuss how we can keep everyone safe, while sharing the Hope of our Lord.

SUNDAY DINNER OFFERED AT TOLSMA’S COVE

Dinner was served Sunday at Tolsma’s Cove as Mark and Julie Tolsma have decided to open their doors and offer a Sunday dinner special with a limited menu from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Julie reported a phenomenal turnout Sunday with great feedback as there previously was no where to eat Sundays in town.

THE PICTURE OF HEALTH IN AMERICA IS NOT SO ROSY

For end-of-the-year columns, it’s customary to recap the events of the past 12 months, usually highlighting a mix of the good and the bad. Because this year has been dominated by health, in particular COVID-19, and my beat is health, it seems fitting to reflect on where we are.
