The local Lake Andes Farmers Market is held each Tuesday 4-6 p.m. from mid June, until mid October at the City Park in Lake Andes, depending on the growing season. August 7-13th, 2022 was proclaimed by Governor Kristi Noem to be National Farmers Market Week across South Dakota.

In June, Evonne’s Dance Studio ‘E Crew’ traveled to Florida where we were accepted to perform by Disney’s Performing Arts.

The 15th Annual Wagner Cancer Walk was held Saturday, August 13th at Wagner Lake. A pork sandwich supper was served along with rootbeer floats and a firework display at dusk. Many community members and survivors came out to walk around the lake. Pictured above are the local survivors.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, Aug. 26 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. This will continue to be a “drive-thru” distribution.

Bon Homme County Achievement Days were held last Friday, August 5 and Saturday, August 6 at the 4-H grounds in Tyndall. The event was a huge success. Please look for the full results in next weeks edition.
