The Bon Homme 4-H Clubs will host their Annual Soup Kitchen Sunday, October 29th at the 4-H Grounds in Tyndall, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Soups, sandwiches and desserts will be served! Recognition Event will follow, beginning at 1 pm.
The October Laker’s Meeting was held October 4th at the Duck Inn. This month’s guest speaker was Lesley Rygaard. Lesley is the Charles-Mix and Bon Homme counties 4-H Youth Program Advisor. She has an office in the Charles-Mix County Courthouse on the third floor.
The date to move the Lake Andes Library from the location at 500 Main Street to the new location at 17 Park Ave. is within site. The library staff has been finishing up details at the new site, cleaning, putting together furnishings, etc.
St. Marks Catholic Church in Lake Andes had their annual fall dinner October 8th. The menu for the evening was the same as it has been for the last 50 years featuring their famous Swiss steak.

Each year the Wagner American Legion Auxiliary members purchase dictionaries for the Wagner Elementary third graders and the Marty Indian School third graders.
Dictionaries were delivered to each child in the schools in September.
The Wagner Community, Wagner Community School and Avon Student Council collected pop tabs for the Wince family from September 15th through October 4th. Tabs for Talia was an idea started by WCS teacher Pam Roth. The WCS elementary had a competition to see which grade could collect the most pop tabs.
