PICKSTOWN FEATURED IN SOUTH DAKOTA MAGAZINE

The Pickstown museum, old Fort Randall, Town of Pickstown, and the Fort Randall Dam will be featured in the November/December issue of the South Dakota Magazine. The museum features old Fort Randall, the building of Pickstown and the Fort Randall Dam.

SEINER NAMED NEW 211 TH FIRST SERGEANT

The 211th Engineer Company based in Madison has a new first sergeant, Scott Seiner of Brandon. Seiner replaces First Sergeant Paul Ebsen, a Madison native who has retired out of the unit.

HONOR FLIGHT

On October 8th 121 Vietnam veterans from South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota traveled to Sioux Falls to join the 8th Midwest Honor Flight to Washington DC.

Kevin and Charlene Tjeerdsma were in Sioux Falls from Wednesday until Sunday. On Saturday they attended the wedding of their son, Tyler Tjeerdsma and Courtney Brudget of Sioux Falls. Jim and Shirley Yonkers visited Bob Reiff on Sunday at the Good Samaritan Center in Wagner.

September 1911 The wedding of Rudolph Engel and Kathryn Hebner occurred at the groom's home Sept. 14th. Rudolph runs the dray line in Tyndall and Kathryn is a successful teacher. September 1935 Mrs. Hollingsworth returned home from Vermillion where she has been caring for her sick mother all summer.
