AARP CHAPTER 962 November 17, 2021 Minutes The AARP Chapter 962 meeting was held on Tuesday, November 17, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at the Park View Villa, Wagner, SD. Vice-President, Virginia Petrik opened the meeting with all reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

My name is Timothy Hollmann. My wife Michelle and I are not military people, but our families have had long and dedicated careers in the military. We actually met at a military ball, where Michelle was a queen candidate. I was the last son of a Command Sergeant Major, William Hollmann.

There were always cookies at Grandma’s house. I remember dunking a fresh sugar cookie into a steaming cup of coffee long before most parents let their children anywhere near that amount of caffeine. The cookies were a little extra special at Christmastime.

VETERANS MURAL TO BE PAINTED ON JAMES DRUG

Members of VFW Post 7319 are sponsoring a mural to honor area veterans. We feel that those who served our country in time of war and peace should be recognized with a lasting tribute to their contributions to our great nation.
