Bon Homme Democrats have announced their raffle drawing Winners held November 4th in Avon. The winners are: Shotgun: Don Hill of Yankton; South Dakota Deer Quilt: Leon Fenhaus of Rapid City and South Dakota Pheasant Quilt: LeWayne Lukkes of Tyndall.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Wednesday, November 29 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon. The date is changed due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to Menning Excavating Inc., of Mitchell who are currently working on the installation of the new pump house southeast of Lake Andes, there is currently a delay in construction.

Riata Bultje competed at the FFA District 4 Leadership Development Events (LDE) Competition in Mitchell Monday, November 13th.

This week’s featured Andes Central Senior is Kendra Kreeger. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Jasmine Kreeger. She has two brothers Cord and Wade.

The Andes Central Junior class parents sponsored their annual after-prom fundraiser, Turkey Bingo and silent auction Saturday, November 18 with doors opening at the Duck Inn. There was a soup and sandwich meal served with a free will donation and Bingo followed.

December 1st (Friday) has been set as the date for the annual Christmas Parade and Customer Appreciation Day in Lake Andes. Start now to plan a parade entry! “Christmas” is the theme this year for parade entries. Customer appreciation can be handled by each individual business and as they choose.

The Tri-County Right to Life Group met Monday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Dakota Christian School. There were ten members present, with President Dan Hargreaves leading the meeting.
