The Lake Andes Public Library Board will meet December 12th at 4:45 p.m. at the new library address 17 Park Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

WCS FIRST ANNUAL KAHOMNI/ROUND DANCE

Wagner Community School presented its first annual Kahomni/Round Dance Friday, December 1st. The event was open to the public and included special dances and contests, invited singers, prizes and vendors.

WAGNER K-4TH GRADE PRESENT WINTER CONCERT

Wagner Community School Kindergarten-Fourth Grade students presented their Winter Concert last Tuesday, December 5, in the school theater under the direction of Mr. Genzlinger and Mr. Wilbur.

This holiday season, LifeServe Blood Center is urging families in South Dakota to come together and create a new and meaningful tradition: donating blood as a family to save lives in their communities.

HORIZONS TEAM DONATES TO BACKPACK PROGRAM

Tiff Hrdlicka Teigen with the East River Horizons Team presented Nadine Striven, a member of the Helping Hands Backpack program, a check for $250.00. The Helping Hands Backpack program currently sends food home for the weekend to 79 kindergarten-1st graders from the Wagner Community School.

WAGNER MEAT LOCKER DEMOLISHED

A building that has been a part of the Wagner main street since at least 1935, began demolition Friday, December 8th. The old meat locker was completely torn down and debris was removed that day and over the weekend.

Rotary News

The December 6th meeting of the Wagner Rotary Club began with a full house. We were led in prayer by Pastor/Rotarian Bill Heermann who gave thanks for such a beautiful weather day in December and gave thanks for our Advent time of preparing for the birth of our Savior.
