Alaina Bechen, a student at Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, earned a spot on the Academic Dean’s List for the fall 2023 semester. The Dean’s List is comprised of students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.50 or above while carrying a minimum of 12 graded hours.

Wednesday, January 17th was Steak Meeting for the Wagner Rotary Club. Rotarian Scott McAdaragh always makes the steaks to perfection on his grill. The day turned out to be too cold to stand outside or for the grill to heat properly, so Scott made Prime Rib for the club members.

I recently delivered my State of the State Address to a joint session of our State Legislature. Towards the end of my speech, a small kiddo started crying up in the gallery. Now, to some that would probably be an unwanted interruption, but in South Dakota, we will always welcome a crying baby.
