10 Years Ago – 2014 Sharon Haar has volunteered 2,260 hours in seven years at the Veteran’s Affair’s clinic. Robert Kokesh and Alex Kocer qualified for the National NCAA Division 1 Wrestling Championships. Robert placed 4th.

Wagner Chamber had a great turnout for their Annual Farm, Home Garden and Sports Show Thursday, April 4th. This years show had a great variety with 53 vendors attending. A great variety of food was served by the Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Daughters had many delicious desserts available.

DES MOINES, IOWA (April 1, 2024) –April donors bring May lives saved! This month, roll up your sleeves and save lives with LifeServe Blood Center. LifeServe Blood Center is calling all community members to participate in blood donation drives throughout the month of April, in your neighborhood.

One of this week’s highlighted seniors is Karstyn Lhotak. Karstyn is the son of Brad and Jen Lhotak. Karstyn also goes by the nickname Carti.

One of this week’s featured seniors is Aubrey Medricky. She is the daughter of Mike and Miranda Medricky. Aubrey also goes by the nickname Aubs.

One of this week’s featured Wagner Community School seniors is Abriana Leines. Abriana is the daughter of Lucy and Tracy Leines.

John Chrisman from Wagner Greer Post #11 was selected as District Legionnaire of the Year at the district 8 legion meeting in Yankton on Saturday, April 6th. John will go on to compete for State Legionnaire of the Year at the State American Legion convention in Pierre on June 20th - 23rd.

Bishop Donald E. DeGrood was born in rural Faribault, Minnesota, February 14, 1965 and raised on family farm not far from there. He attended Catholic grade school in Faribault and graduated in 1983 from Bethlehem Academy Catholic High School, a school sponsored by the Sinsinawa Dominicans.

President Becky Brunsing welcomed all the members present Wednesday, April 3rd for our first meeting of the spring month. There were no guests present and Rotarian Jeff Doom led the members in singing a prayer of blessing for the food.
