DINNER THEATER HELD SATURDAY

On Saturday, April 9, the AHS Drama Club and Post Prom presented "How I Met Your Mummy" following dinner. Directed by Mrs. Loretta Knodel. They had 125 guests for the dinner. Post prom served lettuce salad, dinner roll, pork loin, baked potato, green beans and ice cream sundaes. They had about 40 more audience members come for the show only. "We have been working on this production for 8 weeks. We had a very serious One Act Play so wanted the second Act to be humorous. I gave the students free reign on blocking and actions, so they had more control of their character than I did as the director. Naturally, we took the script and changed it a bit to involve our audience members a little more, and get in an ad for Ron’s Market. The students showed up on stage with high energy and did an incredible job of getting into character. We were excited to break down that 4th wall and involve the audience in our production. We are graduating five seniors from the Drama Club this year. I am sad to see them go since they have been with me for five years. I am however, excited about the talent we have coming up in the ranks!" Commented Mrs. Knodel.
