The Wagner Red Raider football team kicked off the year with some fireworks. With a 45-12 victory over Chamberlain. A balanced offensive attack kept the Cubs off balanced. The offense was led by Senior Quarterback Gannon Knebel who had nearly 400 yards of total offense accumulated 7 total touchdowns. Gannon rushed for 135 yards with 3 rushing touchdowns and added 247 yards passing with 4 passing touchdowns. On the receiving end of those passes was sophomore Cruise Koupal who caught 6 balls for 101 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Senior wide out Shea Kjeldgaard who had 6 catches for 75 yards and a score. Followed up by Junior receiver Carlos Galindo who had 71 yards of his own with a Touchdown. Other Raider contributors with the run game included Javian Pesicka who had 57 yards rushing and Payne Petry who tossed in 34 yards rushing. In total the Red Raiders had 653 yards of Offense. An awesome job that starts with the big guys upfront. The starting O-Line for the Red Raiders are Kobe Drapeau, Brayden Kreber, Bodie Chafin, Bennet Kuhlman, and Trasin Dilts.
