If you like music, relaxing by the lake in the evening and having some great food make plans to attend the first of three evening concerts to be held in Wagner during the final last two weeks of August and the first evening in September. The event is called “Sessions By The Lake” and is an extension of the “605 Unity JAM” that was held at the Wagner Lake this last June. The importance of unity for our community is the main theme and this message will be echoed throughout the concert series.

The library was busy with two events this past week. July 31st the 21 children who completed the requirements of the summer programming at the library and the reading of over 10,000 pages traveled to Wild Water West for a day of fun. Congratulations on your accomplishment.

John Burton “JB” Weber, 91, went to his heavenly home Tuesday, August 1 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital. Memorial mass was held Saturday, August 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. Arrangements were by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Anna Soulek, 95, went to her heavenly home Friday, July 28 at Avis House in Sioux Falls. There will be a celebration of Anna and Robert's life on Saturday, August 26 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the 4-H Building in Armour. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.
