The Zion Lutheran Youth Group held their annual Vendor Fair this past Sunday Dec. 5th. Above are some of the vendors. Lisa Talsma also took pictures at the event. The Youth Group would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their support. They are grateful for the wonderful turnout. Congratulations to the Avon Oral Interp Team on their success at the State Oral Interpretation Festival in Huron. Of the seven events, the Avon District qualified six events for the State Festival. The following students received gold medals for receiving a superior rating during the competition. The Avon Team also was awarded a Class B Team Excellence Award for their success at the event.

Last week’s column brought you up to a point where I took an early morning stand on the southeast corner of a meadow in Wyoming’s Shoshoni National Forest. I would sit there for the day as it was a likely spot to encounter the cow elk I was hunting. I was ably guided by Joe Hargrave of Dubois. He’s the best.
