WAGNER TAKES ON HANSON

The Red Raiders took on Hanson on Tuesday night at home. Both teams came out hot shooting the ball extremely well as Hanson got a few more stops late in the first quarter and led 20-13. Wagner cut into the lead before halftime and trailed 34-28 heading into the break. The game remained close in the third period, Hanson led 39-48 heading into the final frame. The Beavers made some late free throws to win the game by a final score of 61-46. Preston McFayden led the team with 14 points. Chris Nelson and Ted Slaba each scored 10, Carter Cournoyer scored 4, Glenn Cournoyer added 3, Matt Link and Parker Petry each scored 2 and Joey Cournoyer scored 1.

WAGNER JV PLAYS HANSON

The Red Raider JV lost its third game of the year on Tuesday night to Hanson. The Red Raiders trailed 19-15 at halftime. The boys played hard in the second half but never got a lead and lost the game 50-42. Parker Petry led the team with 14 points, Preston McFayden and Joey Cournoyer added 7 each. Jesse Zephier and Frank Soukup each scored 6, and Brady Cournoyer added 2.

RED RAIDERS PLAY MVP

The Wagner boys faced a good MVP team on Tuesday in Plankinton. The boys kept the game close in the first period trailing 15-16. The Titans scored 27 points in the second quarter and 23 in the third to take a commanding 66-32 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Wagner lost the game by a final score of 76-40. Preston McFayden led the boys with 11 points, Chris Nelson scored 10, Joey Cournoyer, Matt Link and Carter Cournoyer each scored 4, Glenn Cournoyer added 3 and Ted Slaba 2.

WAGNER C TEAM DEFEATS HANSON

The Wagner C team improved its record to 4-1 on Tuesday night with a win over Hanson. Wagner trailed 5-3 after the first period and led 12-9 at halftime. Wagner held on to their lead through the 3rd quarter and extended it in the fourth period winning the game 27-21. Javian Pesicka led the team with 10 points, Brady Cournoyer added 9, Jesse Zephier 5 and Frank Soukup scored 3.
