WAGNER AT REGION V FESTIVAL CONCERT

Region V Festival Concert was held on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium. Eleven High School Students from Wagner Community School participated in this wonderful event. The band started the show with five songs which included songs from “The Avengers” and The “Screaming Eagles March.” Members in the band were Jen- nifer Barnett on flute, April Hollingsworth on Percussion, and Christian Doom on Baritone. The Choir also performed five great songs including “Worthy to Be Praised” and “Thankful.” Members of the choir were Presley Slaba, Macee Stimpson, Mckenzie Fuchs, Ali Myer, Libby Kotab, and Lydia Yost. Austin Genzlinger was the choir director to help out from Wagner. It was a beautifully put together concert for an evening of enjoyment.

LUNG CANCER SCREENING SAVES LIVES

This year nearly 250,000 patients will be diagnosed with lung cancer and 130,000 will die from it. In SD, 660 people will be diagnosed and over 400 will die from the disease. Lung cancer accounts for the most cancer deaths in both the US and in SD.

Rotary News

The Wagner Rotary Club met for the last Wednesday in November, the day before Thanksgiving. A delicious meal was served that came from Valley Pump. Trips, sickness, and work continue to raise havoc with our membership. We have been missing about four or five members every Wednesday in November. Pastor/Rotarian Heermann gave thanks for the for the food and fellowship and asked for blessings on all for Thanksgiving.
