Weather Watch Welcome home Marianne and welcome home Philips computer! Who did I miss the most? Well, Marianne was gone for four days and the computer was gone for a couple of weeks, and to be honest, I could have gone another week or two without a computer. The answer then is a no-brainer.

MY COMPUTER HAS A VIRUS. IT MUST BE GOING AROUND!

Why does everything happen to me? With Marianne being out in Washington for four days, I was looking forward to some ‘alone’ time with our new computer. I figured that I would resolve some of the mystery surrounding the beeping, buzzing almost lifelike thing sitting on my desk.

MY FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR

I know one South Dakotan who lives all year in anticipation of the Turner County Fair. Others yearn for the first Forestburg melon stand to open, or for the leaves in Spearfish Canyon to turn color, or the state capitol to be decked out in its Christmas glory.

Imagine, after filing your tax return, you receive a notice from the Internal Revenue Service that another return has been filed using your name and social security number – and someone else has your refund. Sound impossible? It happens.
