DVORAK TO COMPETE IN MARKSMANSHIP

Krista Dvorak is a student at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota and a member of the "NDSU Marksmanship Club." She will participate at the Collegiate National Shooting Championships in Columbus, Georgia on March 17-19th.

The Wagner Hospital Auxiliary held their monthly meeting February 27 at 1:30 p.m., with 11 members present. A check was presented to Bryan Slaba, CEO for the two packs of mannequins to be used for CPR training. This purchase was made from the quilt raffle tickets sold in 2018.

This week in the Senate was not as frantic as we skipped committee meetings on Monday because of the weather. Monday was crossover day so all of the bills that originated in the chamber had to be approved by the end of the session.

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) _ Senators have decided to keep in place South Dakota’s presumptive probation policy for some lower-level felonies, voting Friday to reject an expensive proposal from new Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg to scrap the practice.

GFP extends fi sh house removal deadline

The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) has extended the deadline for when anglers must remove their fish houses from South Dakota lakes. Anglers will not have to remove their fish houses, shelters or other structures by midnight, Thursday, Feb. 28 as was previously announced.
