Wagner Library Notice

To help minimize the spread of COVID-19, the Wagner Public Library will be closed to the public until further notice. Staff is working. Patrons with library cards may request curbside checkouts. Please call 384-5248 between 9:00 and 12:00 or 1:00 and 5:00.

Attention Non-Profit Organizations and Fund Raising Groups

Beginning this season, the proceeds from 50/50 ticket sales will NOT go to the track. We are inviting groups to be featured during one of our race nights to sell 50/50 tickets with 50% of the dollars going to the winner and the other 50% being kept by the organizations.

Coronavirus hit home this past week as an area resident was positively diagnosed with COVID-19. Since then schools are closed, nursing homes are not allowing visitors, some businesses have been forced to close their doors, and Main Street today was almost empty.

With the coronavirus causing school to be cancelled, my son brought his schoolwork home. He shared with us a Greek mythology worksheet about Pandora’s Box. If you aren’t familiar, the Greek god Zeus gave a wedding present to beautiful Pandora but instructed her not to open it.

WEEK 9 UPDATES OF LEGISLATIVE SESSION

Thursday, March 12th was the final day of the 95th Legislative Session. On Monday March 30th we will again return to the Capitol for Veto day. As of March 11th, Governor Noem had signed 78 House Bills and 27 Senate Bills leaving 30 bills on her desk. At this point she has two Gubernatorial vetoes.
