PIERRE, S.D. – The State Library has awarded certification to 12 librarians from nine libraries across South Dakota. The voluntary certification program recognizes library directors and staff members who have met the certification standards.

Three runners from the Andes Central/Dakota Christian Cross Country Team qualified for the State Meet this Saturday at the Heart Ranch Golf Course by Rapid City.

Sioux Nation Ag Center in Wagner welcomes Dr. Greg Mantz as the new full-time veterinarian for the Wagner area. Dr. Mantz will be working out of the Wagner store, and will be available for routine work on the farm. He will also respond to after-hours large animal emergencies. Dr.

The original headquarters for Charles Mix Electric was built in 1953 and has been added onto several times. The new facilities, at a cost of $4.8 million, will include an 18,000 sq. ft precast concrete warehouse with a wash bay, truck and equipment storage and a 1,600 sq. ft. mezzanine.

As much as I like to brag about our South Dakota hunting opportunities, I’ll have to admit that our pronghorn antelope hunting is nowhere near #1 Wyoming, and also trails Montana, Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico.

To say that this Oral Interp season is a "normal" season is an understatement. The 2020 Oral Interp Season has been anything but normal. The Oral interp students have been put to the ultimate test this season in performing virtually for all of their meets.

Flu shots are an important part of preventative health every year, with extra emphasis this year, surrounding the current pandemic with COVID-19 and the upcoming influenza season. One target population is school aged children. A school flu POD event has been held in previous years.
