ATTORNEY GENERAL JACKLEY ANNOUNCES SD SUPREME COURT UPHOLDS CRIMINAL CONVICTIONS IN CHARLES MIX COUNTY CASE
PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley announces that the South Dakota Supreme Court has affirmed the convictions of Hazen Hunter Winckler, rejecting claims that the State lacked jurisdiction over criminal offenses occurring at the Charles Mix County courthouse and jail.

Pierre, S.D. – Jobs for America’s Graduates – South Dakota (JAG-SD) hosted the annual Career Development Conference on March 10 at Augustana University in Sioux Falls. Students competed in career association activities, and the new 2026-27 JAG-SD state officers were announced.

Winter took a chance at reappearing last Wednesday, March 11th in Wagner. The Rotary Club met as usual despite the snow and wind that remained from overnight. The meeting began with President Jamie Soukup helping to prepare for the meal as our usual helpers were home sick.
EASTER CANTATA PERFORMANCES TO BE HELD
The Bon Homme Community Choir is preparing for this year's Easter Cantata. 'Savior, Jesus Messiah' is the title for this year's Easter Cantata. The choir is again directed by Autumn Schultz, the Avon High School music teacher.

We started out our Monday with a couple of House bills that were sent back to us from the senate with an amended version that they had passed. The first, HB1200A was a DO NOT CONCUR BUT SEND TO A CONFERENCE COMMITTEE vote. The second HB1209A was also DO NOT CONCUR BUT SEND TO A CONFERENCE COMMITTEE.
