Last week the Library article included 3 descriptions of books we have available for check out at the Lake Andes Library to read to commemorate Native American Heritage Month, which is November, 2022. The next three selections begins with “Red Cloud, Oglala Legend” written by John D.

Oral Interp had their home meet on Monday, November 7th. This was a final performance before heading to Regions in Chamberlain on Monday, November 14th. The Wagner Oral Interp team would like to thank our families, school, and community for their support this year.

The annual VFW Post 7319 Veterans Day Banquet was held at the American Legion with a potluck supper at 7:00 p.m. on November 11, 2022. Toastmaster for the evening was Mark Roberts.

Members of Wagner VFW Auxiliary honored local veterans with a Veterans Day gift and Veterans Day cards this past week. It is the Auxiliaries way of giving back to veterans and honoring them for all they have done to keep our nation a safe place.

Two Wagner Middle School students who read their Patriots Pen are essays at the Veterans Day program, held by the local VFW the evening of Veterans Day, November 11th.

10:50 a.m. November 8th, Wagner Fire Dept was called to respond to a fire call coming in as smoke exiting the roof at the Good Samaritan Center in Wagner. Wagner Fire Dept responded, and requested mutual aid from Dante, Ravinia, and Lake Andes Fire Departments.

Firefighters from Wagner, Lake Andes, Ravinia, Armour, and Delmont were invited to an event designed to honor them for their courage and thank them for their service to the local community.
