On September 5, 2018, the Farm Credit Services of America presented FFA Handbooks and Manuals to Wagner FFA for the 2018-2019 school year. The FFA chapter is led by agriculture instructor, Evan Papousek.

Birth annoucements Cyla Dee Abdouch was born September 15, 2018 to Aaron and Jenn Abdouch. She weighed 7 lbs 5 ounces and was 19 inches long. Grandparents are Pat Abdouch of Pickstown, Tom Abdouch of Wagner and Jerry and Bev Coleman of Independence, MO.

Engagement announcements Amber Lynn Classen and Mavrick Joseph Hill are happy to announce their upcoming marriage on October 6, 2018, along with their parents Kelly and Kaci Classen of Spencer, NE, and Jim and Bernie Hill of Dante, SD.

Nathan and Marcia Bierman of Lake Andes are proud to announce the birth of their son, Gavin Allen Bierman. Gavin was born August 20, 2018 at 2:48 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 3 1/2 oz. and was 21 inches long. Proud grandparents are Mark and Carol Dvorak of Lake Andes and Neal and Donna Bierman of Avon.

Charles Mix Electric Association of Lake Andes, is proud to announce that Faith Tyler has been chosen as a “Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week” by KSFY-TV. Faith is a senior at Wagner Community School.

Terry and Vicki Koupal (Wagner, SD) and Michael and Jamie Linn (Gretna, NE) are pleased to announce the engagement of their children, Jessica Koupal and Stephen Linn. Engaged on January 27, 2018; they are planning a September 29, 2018 wedding to be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner.

The City of Wagner is pleased to announce a new service—Electronic Billing & Payments. Water & sewer customers are able to view their bills online and on a mobile app, saving the City the cost of printing and mailing bills.

Members of the Boys & Girls Club were engaged in community service last week after the Labor Day Festivities. The Clubs motto for service is “If you see a need, take the lead”. The children picked up trash in the city park as they learned about the many people who work to organize the 3 day event.
