Bon Homme High School, Class of 1985, celebrated their belated 35th reunion from Summer 2020, over Czech Days in Tabor, on June 18, 2021. Out of a class of 64 classmates, 13 made the effort. The classmates met in Sokol Park and enjoyed an afternoon and evening together.

The Heat Index was pushing towards one hundred when the Wagner Rotary Club met on Wednesday, June 18th. Pastor/Rotarian/ Musician Laurie Kidd started the meeting with a prayer of thanks for the rain we had a week ago and asked that everyone practice safe measures in this extreme heat.

Bon Homme County 4-H horse members will be participating in the 2021 Bon Homme & Charles Mix County Horse Show at the Springfield 7-N Arena, 31164 Equal Rights Road, Springfield. This is a combined county show. Registration will start at 9 a.m. with the show to start at 9:30 a.m.

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on June 17, 2021 at the Post Home. Commander Clayton Rados called the members to attention. Chaplain Donald Kotab gave the invocation, which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Monday, June 7th was the kick off to the Avon Public Library’s Summer Reading Program. Forty-five children showed up for the event. Faith Vanden Hoek was the guest reader, reading Pout Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen.

A Couple’s Tournament took place on Sunday, June 13 at the Bon Homme Golf Course, which is located 7 1/2 miles east of Avon. There were around 45 couples that participated in the event and the format included 9 holes of Chapman and 9 holes of Alternate Shot.
