On Thursday, March 30th the Wagner HOSA (Future Health Professional) students traveled to Sioux Falls to compete at the State Leadership Conference. This was a yearlong culmination of hard work and hours of dedication. Students competed against nearly 1,000 competitors from across South Dakota.

Wagner Elementary students who successfully completed the Good Attendance Challenge participated in their grade level pool parties Friday, March 31 and Monday, April 3. Prize drawings were held for each grade level. Winners of the prizes are pictured with their grade.

Mayor Todd Johannsen has signed a proclamation designating Wagner a Purple Heart City which will add Wagner to the Purple Heart Trail.

The April 5th Wagner Rotary Club was brought to order by President Rachel Woods ringing the bell and giving a warm welcome to all present. Pastor/Rotarian Bill Heermann led the group in prayer.

Feeding South Dakota food distribution will be held Friday, April 28 at the Scotland Community Church at 8:45 a.m.; the Tyndall Fire Hall at 10:30 a.m. and at the Avon Fire Hall at 12 noon.

Reminder the library will be closing on Friday at 3:00 pm for Easter Break. We will remain closed Saturday as we will be having a table at the Easter Egg Event at the 4-H Center. The library will be closed on Monday, April 10th per City of Lake Andes designation.
