1 TIMOTHY 2: 1-6 1) ' I exort therefore, that, first of all. supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men.
2) For kings, and for all that are in authority: that we may live a quiet, and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3) For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4) who will ( desire to ) have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5) For there is one God , and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus.
6) who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.' (KJV ) Our world is so full of hate that the idea of praying for our leaders is far from most peoples minds, but according to the Scriptures, we are to pray for all people who are in authority.
This includes many that we may not approve of their lives or of their judgements in authority--we are still told to pray for them.
We are to pray for all those in authority--from the President on down to our Local City Leaders to the Law Enforcement Officers and yes we also should pray for our Pastors and other Godly Ministers who are preaching the Word of God-- and living it themselves as models for others.
Praying for all our leaders no matter what position they are in, the scripture says that this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.
So not praying for them is not acceptable.
In order for our life to be acceptable to God--we are to do as He says to do. He says to keep His commandments to do as He says to do.
To follow in all His Words-every Word. To not do it is not pleasing to God.
God does not change so we must be conformed to what He wants. To do that we must read God's Word regularly and attend God's True Bible Preaching Church, and put all preached into our lives. This is also acceptable to God According to God's Word are you praying for all those in leadership?
