Marvin L. Yost, age 60 of Chesterfield, MI passed away January 14 at his home. He was born on July 15, 1960 in Avon to Herb and Sharon Yost. He attended grade school and high school in Avon where he graduated in 1978. He married the love of his life, Kris, on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA in 1986. They were blessed with two beautiful children.

His passion was sports. He loved to fish and watch the Lions on Sunday. He was a professional fisherman with the PWT and fished the MWT with his son Kyle. He also loved to coach. He coached wrestling and football for Anchor Bay South, baseball for the Macomb Muskies and little league baseball (Cubs) and football (Tigercats) in Eastpointe, MI.

Marvin loved his pets starting with his childhood dog Snoopy. One of his favorite things was taking his dog, Dakota, hunting back home to South Dakota. As of late he would get excited to sit and watch a Lions game with his dog Bobber.

He was a Prototype Layout/ CMM Programmer for Magna. He also spent years working for American Axle and Gentz Industries.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Kris Yost; sons Joey Yost and Kyle (Heather) Yost; siblings Martin (Stephanie) Yost, Melonie (Jeff) Juffer, Michael (Leda) Yost, and Monica VonSeggern.

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mark Yost and sister Michelle Knickman.

Gendernalik Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
