LANAE FLYING HAWK

Lanae Flying Hawk, 50, of Wagner died Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services were Wednesday, July 29 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Wake services were Monday at the Legion Hall. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Lenae Rae (Provost) Flying Hawk was born on February 12, 1970 in Omaha, NE. She was born to bernadine (Gray) Provost. Her biological father was a Saul from Santee, NE. She was raised from birth by Roland Provost. Bernadine and Roland also had Laurie Ellen and Rolene Frances. They also raised Caroline Jean.

Lenae was a very bright and loving woman. She was well known for her cooking skills. She loved her family and was always there when needed.

Lenae loved her sons, Harley, Alan Jr., and Kotey. She also enjoyed becoming an Unci to Rhiannen Rose, eight years. Rhiannen is daughter to Harley. Rhiannen and Lenae talked on the phone every day. She loved to listen to Coast to Coast on AM radio, watch Ghost Whisperer and The Young and The Restless. She also loved her pets and gardening. Her favorite music was rock, AC/DC, Hinder and Creed were some of her favorite bands.

In 1997, she began dating Alan Flying Hawk. They were married in 2010.

Lenae is survived by her husband, Alan Flying Hawk Sr., sons Harley, Alan Jr., and Kotey, many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother Bernadine, father Roland, sisters Laurie Ellen, Rolene Frances and niece Tessa Rae.
