LAFAYE FRENCH

LaFaye French, 76, of Wagner died Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Wake services were Tuesday at the All Tribes Fellowship Church in Wagner. Funeral services were Thursday, June 10 at the church. Burial was in the Cedar Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

LaFaye Eileen French (Weston) was born on April 26, 1945 in Greenwood, to Francis Vernie Weston and Amelia Imogene Weston. In her younger years LaFaye attended school in Marty and graduated high school in Flandreau. She then moved to Cleveland, OH where she obtained her beautician license. LaFaye enjoyed doing hair, nails and making others look beautiful.

LaFaye’s favorite color was purple and she loved her dog “Girl”.

LaFaye was always humble and modest. She took great pride in raising her grandchildren.

LaFaye prayed to the Lord every day and had a strong voice for her faith. She loved to be in the kitchen cooking meals for friends and family at the All Tribes Fellowship Church.

LaFaye was the backbone of her family and was loved by all. She shared her life with Christopher French “Budd” and his wife Spiritdreamer French, Melody Benson (Sissy) and Francis French “Franky”. She had many grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many friends and relatives.

LaFaye was preceded in death by her father Francis Weston, her mother Amelia Weston (Hare), her son Anthony Weston “Binky", her sister Johanne Weston and four brothers: Sonny Weston Sr., Cardinal Weston, Michael Weston and Barry Weston.
