Wake services for Juanita “Eya” Hare, 72, of Marty began Sunday at the Marty Indian School Gym in Marty. Funeral services were at the Gym on Tuesday, August 11. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty.

Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Juanita “Eya” Hare was born November 1, 1947 to Wesley “Bud” Hare and Leafia Pearl Drapeau. She died Saturday, August 8, 2020 at her home in Marty.

Eya had four biological children: Rhonda Lynn, Richard, Roger, Gordena and she had also adopted Joey Hare. She had 23 grandchildren.

Eya attended St. Paul’s Indian Mission for 12 years and graduated in 1966. After high school she went to Dallas, TX and became a certified beautician.

Eya loved attending powwows, traveling and going to inpis. In her spare time she also loved doing gardening, beading and painting. She was known to be kind to everyone she was around and she was also a very loving woman.
