Funeral services for Everett Lamont, Jr., 52, of Des Moines, IA were Friday, August 24 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Crosby-Jaeger Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Everett Frank Lamont Jr, 52, was born to Caroline Marie Frederick and Everett Moses Lamont. Everett died in Des Moines, Iowa at Kavanaugh House surrounded by family and friends.

Everett was attending college at Grandview College in Des Moines, IA and received a degree for welding. Before his passing, Everett was working on his degree for Business & Management. When he lived in South Dakota he worked for the Yankton Sioux Tribe.

In his free time, he liked to golf, fish, make jewelry and other crafts. He loved spending time with friends and family. He loved to joke around and make people laugh.

Everett is survived by his parents; sisters: Laura Jean Trudell, Connie Lamont and Josephine Lamont; brothers: Montgomery Lamont and Matthew Lamont; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Everett was preceded in death by Hazel Spotted Eagle, Laura Frazier, Machaiah Ross, Tristan Spotted Eagle, Frank Selwyn, Edith Selwyn, Betty Bernie, Clara Spotted Eagle and Hank Spotted Eagle.
