The Lake Andes Library board is the controlling body for our public library. They make suggestions to the librarian, make requests to the city council on behalf of the library and hire workers for the library. We meet quarterly and our next meeting will be June 9th. Because of the social distancing policy being followed at the library our meeting may look different than usual. If you have a concern to be brought before the board please contact the library so we can put your concern on our agenda.

I have held someone’s hand as they wept for the loss of a loved one. I have reassured someone with dementia that is frustrated they can’t remember. I have heard stories of love, loss, hard times, and times of great joy.
