Producers have until March 15, 2023, to enroll in these two programs. ARC provides income support payments on historical base acres when actual crop revenue declines below a specified guaranteed level. PLC provides income support payments on historical base acres when the effective price for a covered commodity falls below its reference price. Farm owners cannot enroll in either program unless they have a share interest in the farm.

The competition was scored by a large variety of judges, some more strict than others. The grading scale goes from the lowest at V (5) to the highest at I (1).
