Police officers deserve to be honored and recognized for their dedication and hard work for their communities. Police Chief, Theodore Smith, is the lone officer of theAvonPoliceDepartment. Police Chief Smith has been in his current position for almost seven months in Avon. What Chief Smith enjoys most about being a part of law enforcement is the opportunity that the job allows him to make a difference in the community. Smith’s grandfather was the Chief of Police in Sturgis while Smith was growing up. Listening to his grandfather’s experiences as a police officer and chief stirred an interest in Smith.
