Read moreThe Yankton Sioux Tribe Adult General Education Diploma (GED) held their graduation ceremony Friday, June 7th. The ceremony was held at Wagner Lake. The ceremony opened with Richie Sully giving the opening prayer. Barb Unruh, the SD State GED Administrator and YST Vice Chairman, Jason Cooke, were guest speakers at the event. The drum group at the ceremony was the Hilltop Singers (Fancis Boyer).
Read moreWagner held its first Farmers Market this past Friday June 14th from 4:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. There were five vendors for the first Farmers Market. Wagner American Blue Meats was there with meat sticks, briskets, roasts, short ribs, soup bones and hamburger. Choteau Creek Brewing Company was on hand with homemade desserts, pesto, a quiche and locally grown mushrooms. The Older Adult Resource Network (OARN) was present and wanting to help older adults in our community connect with resources they may need. Black Ink Farms was there with their 40 different jams and jellies and season produce. Big Aunti’s Teas were on hand to serve their 15 different sugar free teas. Last but not least, the Greenwood Colony was there with their canned and fresh veggies, throws and quilts.
