With the new year fast approaching, the library is planning an incentive program for patrons ages K-5th grade. The library wants our patrons to participate in the South Dakota Children’s Book Awards during 2026. Incentives will be items from local Lake Andes businesses or special projects only available at the library.

American Legion Greer Post #11 held its monthly meeting on December 18, 2025 with 38 members and 3 SAL members in attendance. Commander Rados thanked the cooks for the delicious prime rib dinner. Dennis Clemens was the winner for the queen drawing but drew the 2 of clubs instead. Chaplain Don Kotab gave the invocation which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. The Preamble to the Constitution of the American Legion was recited by all members. Commander Rados then called the meeting to order.

The Wagner Rotary Club held its last meeting of the year 2025 last Wednesday. There were several members absent with the year winding down and Christmas approaching soon. There were two guests present, courtesy of Amanda Bechen. She brought Judean Irvine and Isaac Wunder to the meeting. Everyone joined in reciting the Rotary Prayer followed by singing two verses of Jingle Bells with Rotarian Rachel Woods as the leader.
