The South Dakota Council of Administrators of Special Education (SDCASE) recently chose Miss Slaba to be the recipient of the 2024 Outstanding SDCASE Administrator award.

National Kindergarten Day is celebrated on April 21st each year in dedication to the man credited with founding kindergarten, Fredrich Frobel, who founded the first kindergarten in 1837.
One of this week’s featured WCS seniors is Daniel Soukup. He is the son of Gene and Laura Soukup. Daniel has several nicknames including Danny Dimes and Danielson.
Brad Poppe was named Honorary Referee at the Avon Track Meet on April 12th.
Brad graduated from Avon High School in 1986 with a degree in Business. He has been teaching for 37 years.
Wagner falls to the Scotland/ Menno Trappers in another very windy battle on April 15th with a score of 1-12.
After a very rainy beginning to the 2024 softball season with several games being cancelled or postponed, the Avon softball team will finally have their first game April 8th at Scotland.

The Wagner Red Raiders fell 16-1 to the Castlewood Warriors in the first game of the tournament. Brylie Link led the way with the only hit of the game bringing in one run.
