She didn't grow up in South Dakota but in Laurens, Iowa.

Wagner Community School will host its 3rd Annual Hanhepi Wi Waniyetu Round Dance on Friday, December 5, at the school’s Auxiliary Gym.
This year the Parade of Lights will return to its original route of heading south down Main Street from Custom Touch and then west to the Good Samaritan Center parking lot.
