Our beloved grandmother was born on October 31, 1950 to Amanda Frederick and Rudolf Arpan, Sr. She was born and raised in Greenwood, where she grew up with strong values of family, love, and hard work that she carried throughout her life. She was a kind, caring woman with a warm heart and gentle spirit and she had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and loved.
She LOVED travel, especially between South Dakota and Utah, and along the way she met many people and built lasting connections. She was friendly, outgoing, and always enjoyed getting to know others and sharing her time with those around her.
She was a wonderful cook and her home was always filled with love and the comforting smells of her meals. Family gatherings around her table were especially meaningful and her cooking created memories that will be cherished forever.
She shared four children with her former husband, Doyle Wayne Sully, Sr.: Jacki Lynn, Heather Jean, Doyle Wayne Sully Jr, and her youngest daughter, Beth Cheree. Beth Cheree preceded her in death and will be waiting with open arms to welcome her home. Her love for her children was unconditional and lifelong.
She was incredibly proud of her family and was blessed with 15 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, all of whom brought her great joy. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, her sister Margo, and her brothers: Daryl, Rudy and Vaughn “Schmeek”.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, kindness, and family devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
