Robert Chrans, 74, of Avon died Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wagner. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be April 23 at 10 a.m. at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. Burial is in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Avon is in charge of arrangements.

On March 30, 2022, after a fearless battle with cancer, Mary Signe Westin Grandi, devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend, peacefully passed away. She was surrounded by her husband and children in their cozy family home.

Arnold Lowell Sattler, 101, of Avon, passed away Thursday, March 17, at the Tyndall Good Samaritan Center. Arnie was born to Louisa and Christian Sattler on September 8, 1920, in Avon. He attended Avon public schools and graduated from Avon High School in 1938 during the depression era.

Funeral services for John Wright, will be held Wednesday, April 13 at 11 a.m., at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial is in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Greenwood, with military honors. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Mass for Margarette Schuurmans was held Friday, April 8 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial was in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Mass for Lisa will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in the Riverview Cemetery in Pickstown. Visitation is at the church on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Rosary/ Scripture Wake services at 7 p.m.

Funeral services for Phyllis are Friday, April 8, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wager Community Church in Wagner. Burial is in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lake Andes. Visitation will be at the Wagner Community Church on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

Margarette passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Majestic Bluffs in Yankton. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 8, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services for Theola were Tuesday, April 5, at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Theola Petrik was born on a farm near Crofton, NE, the daughter of Simon and Rachel (Behrens) Meirose. She died Friday, April 1, 2022 at her home in Wagner.

Jacob Allen Wages was born May 21, 1997 in Mitchell, SD. He is the son of Christa (Wages) and Dean DeJong and Keith Erickson. He died Saturday, March 26 at his home in Mitchell. Jake graduated from Avon High School in 2016. He attended the University of South Dakota and moved to Mitchell.
