Edward Andersh passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 24th, 2022. He had battled several health issues over the past couple of years. We are embracing that he is at peace. Edward was born December 15, 1953, to Allen Andersh and Jane (Horner) Kostel in Wagner.

Mary Patocka was born February 10, 1936 at home in Ravinia, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Dvorak) Kmoch. She died Thursday, July 21 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Tyndall. Mary attended Ravinia High School and graduated with a BA from Southern State College in Springfield.

Gerald F. DeRoos was born June 29, 1930 in Springfield, to Pier G and Anna (Mesman) DeRoos. He died, Tuesday, July 13 at his home in Granbury, Texas. The service was held held on Monday July 18 at Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.

Kim T. Kocmick, age 57 of Sioux Falls passed away on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Sanford USD Medical Center. A Funeral Service for Kim and Memorial Services for her son, Shane Dulaney was Monday, July 25, at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory, Sioux Falls. Visit www.georgeboom.

Wake services for Charles Selwyn, Sr., 29, of Lake Andes, began Thursday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Graveside funeral services were Saturday, July 9 at the Native American Church Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Lou Harmacek, 86, of Avon passed away in Alexandria on Thursday, July 7. A Celebration of Betty Lou’s Life will be held at a later date. Peters Funeral Home in Avon is in charge of arrangements. Betty Lou Harmacek was born April 17, 1936 in Wagner to Steve and Ella (Vilhauer) Merkwan.

Jerome Zephier, 35, of Marty died Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services were Friday, July 1 at the Marty Community Center in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Benjamin Slama, 88, of Springfield Funeral services for Benjamin Blama, 88, of Springfield were held Wednesday, July 6 at the First Presbyterian Church in Avon. Burial was in the Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors.

Thurman Cournoyer, Jr., 51 of Marty, died Sunday, July 3, 2022 at the Wagner Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the Ihanktonwan Community Center in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in Marty.

William "Bill" Thomas Millar, 54, died at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls on Saturday, July 2, 2022. Funeral service was Wednesday, July 6 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Geddes with burial following in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery in Geddes.
