Marla Heth, 37, of Wagner, died Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Wagner. Funeral services were Wednesday, March 8 at the Greenwood Community Center in Greenwood. Burial was in the Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery.

RODNEY FRANKESTEIN

On Thursday, February 23, 2023, Rodney Wayne Frankenstein, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 44. Rodney was born on December 18, 1978, in Wagner to Roger and Mary Frankenstein. He was married to his loving wife, Sonnie, for 14 years and raised two sons, Holden and Landon.

VELDA HAWLEY

Private funeral services for Velda Hawley are being held at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Rapid City. Velda Hawley was born at Quinn on November 26, 1916 to Sam and Vada May (Farnsworth) Bloom.

JOHN COURNOYER

Funeral services for John Cournoyer were Saturday, February 25 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements. John Cournoyer was born in Yankton to Donald Cournoyer, Sr. and Jacqueline Holiday.

LEONARD HARE III

Funeral services for Leonard Hare were Monday, February 27 at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Burial was in the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Wagner, with military honors. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

MAUREEN BRINK

Maureen Elaine Brink (De-Noma) passed away on February 3, 2023 at Hospice House in Fargo, North Dakota at the age of 83. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Aberdeen at a later date. Maureen was born to Glenn and Evelyn DeNoma on October 15, 1939 in Wagner.

DR. THEODORE R. PIER

Dr. Theodore R. (“Ted”) Pier passed away in Minneapolis January 8th. His death resulted from a fall in his home. Ted had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease years ago, and he suffered throughout his affliction with great dignity. He was 75 years old.
