Funeral services for Mariana (Acosta) Peters, 82, of Wagner, were held Wednesday May 1 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial will be at a later date in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Mark Steven Huber, 65, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in his sleep of a heart attack February 6, 2024. Mark was born November 2,1958, to Ruben and Arlene (Kracht) Huber in Wagner. Memorial services will be held May 31, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes.

A Celebration of Fredrick G. Soukup's Life will be held Wednesday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Private family burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Tuesday, May 14 from 6-7 p.m. with a Rosary/Scripture Wake service at 7 p.

Funeral services for Elaine Schroeder, 89, of Wagner, will be held Tuesday, May 7 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Visitation will be Monday, May 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Interment will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery.

Velda Charlotte Jerke, 91, of Wagner, died Monday, April 29, 2024 at the Lake Andes Senior Living in Lake Andes. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wagner. Burial will be in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Katherine Fern Eddy, 70, of Greenwood, died Saturday, April 27, 2024 at her home in Greenwood. Family had private services for her. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements. Katherine was born in Wagner, to Wilford Kazena and Irene Henry.

Janice Fay Baker was born March 6, 1952 at Burke to Leonard and Leola (Witt) Hoar and she died April 25, 2024 at her home near Fairfax. Janice was baptized and confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church and Graduated in 1970 from Bonesteel High School. She went to Stewarts school of cosmetology.

Arlene Gullikson, 90, of Lake Andes, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at her home in Lake Andes. A one night wake service was held Friday, April 26 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner.

Karl F. Flood, 37, of Marty, died Monday, April 22, 2024 in his home in Marty. Funeral services were Thursday, April 25 at the YST Community Center in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery. Wake services began Tuesday, April 23 at the community center.
